Coming soon… The Media Issue

Citizenship Towers is currently a frenzy of activity as our writers and designers work towards creating what we hope will be our best ever release – the Media Issue!

Here’s a taster of what is to come:

  • Our editor’s Children’s Media Conference diary featuring all of the latest concepts, products and predictions.
  • A look at the children creating their own websites, podcasts and videos and how such practical projects improve media literacy.
  • A huge range of cross-curricular tips on how to use media products like websites, magazines and films in the classroom.
  • A close look at the queen of children’s media, Barbie, and how advertising, spin-off products and the doll itself affect child development and self-image.
  • And a teacher’s investigation into the media habits and attitudes of her pupils and their parents.

If you still want to contribute an idea, please get in touch before the end of September.
